Flag on my Backpack has only three parts to go!
The sixth installment is now up. Free Man In Paris went live today (meaning only two parts left now), and as always the French version is also available. I hope everyone is enjoying the series so far.

Inspiration of music: Flag on my Backpack
So, I discussed before in a video blog about music being an inspiration for Flag on my Backpack. So far, each chapter of the series has had a song title as the name. Each, I named just because it happened to be the song that was playing at the time when I wrote it. Here’s a description of each of those artists.
Neil Young - Born in Toronto, Ontario, Young is well known in music. Both as...

WIN.
So much win.
Oh, snap!
There are so many people that cry out about a culture or religion that wants to build something near what Americans call sacred. Yet these same people forget they did exactly the same thing to First Nation People.

BBC - Dimensions - Index →
Wow! This really kind of puts things in perspective. The BBC has developed an app which creates the specific area of an event. In this case, the Pakistan floods. Type in a city name, and it displays the map of the city and surrounding area, and an overlay of the event. The Pakistan flood covers nearly half of the province of Saskatchewan. I don’t want to take away from the hardships of...

You know, I never get tired of talking about feminism. It’s a delicious subject because feminists are always getting their comeuppance. The law of unintended consequences just kicks them around constantly. It’s hilarious. I don’t think I delight in anything quite as much as I do seeing someone, or a group of someones, get exactly what’s coming to them.
Yeah, OMG it must be...

I write like J. K. Rowling →
Hmm, this is interesting. I took a snippet of Black Mask & Pale Rider, the first serial series I wrote, and had it analyzed through an online analyzer. I’m still of the frame of mind where you have to take these things with a grain of salt. On the one hand, great. I think it’s awesome to have my work compared to someone of the calibre of J.K. Rowling. But on the other hand,...

Just a reminder, the 14th episode of the series is up and only four more episodes to go. Don’t forget to check out the full series, and the French translation (which could be poor, I know).

Gender-Liberal
You scored 67% Gender-Abolitionist, 60% Sexually Liberal, and 40 % Socialist
You are the Gender-Liberal. This means that you share qualities with both Liberal Feminists and Gender Abolitionists. Like the Liberal Feminist, you feel political change needs to be done on a small-scale level through legislative change, not necessarily...

Flag on my Backpack: French update
The French language page for Flag on my Backpack: The Series is now a go. All links (I hope) work on the Table of Contents. I also hope that the translation comes across fine, as I’ve been using Google’s translation tool. If there is any problems with the translation, let me know, give me a hand and make sure it’s correct. I live in Saskatchewan, so the opportunity to speak...

I approve this, very much so. So glad I’m not the only one who takes note of music in movies and TV.

Flag on my Backpack Update!
The series page has been restructured, and all parts of the series remain at the Tumblr site (it will also be posted at the Wordpress site, but featured heavily here, as this site is strictly dedicated to Flag on my Backpack). So check out the series in full. Presently, the English versions of each part are up, and I’m hoping that the French versions will be up within the next few days.

According to the Multiculturalism Act (1988), “The Government of Canada recognizes the diversity of Canadians as regards race, national or ethnic origin, colour and religion as a fundamental characteristic of Canadian society and is committed to a policy of multiculturalism.” Discrimination against Muslims is, therefore, a subject of national interest, particularly since the...
